Spring Summer 2019

For the Spring Summer 2019 collection, ANDREA MONDIN presents two new shoe families: Fleurs and Fiocco.
The Fleurs is characterized by soft, wide folds that, like petals, fall laterally over the shoe. The style is expressed through three models: the sabot Jasmine heel 105, the sabot open toe Iris heel 105 and the mule Rose heel 50. The use of grosgrain for the upper part and satin in the complex interweaving of folds exhibit a cut of austere and feminine elegance, which is well enhanced by the choice of basic colours; black, navy blue and gray. In the Rose and Iris models, always made of grosgrain and satin, the delicate combination of three colour tones give life to the flower ornament in all its liveliness and freshness.
In this collection a décolleté plays the leading role in two different models. The Celine thin heel 85 and the Doris heel 50 are made of the furnishing fabrics of Manuel Canovas from ‘Perseus’ and ‘Jardin du Luxembourg’. A new model, the 105 thin-heel pump Elise, and the interwoven sandals Kim and Liz are made with a new leather heel offering, with tones of vintage gold, light blue and black.
Elements of the brands’ iconic shoes are present in the sabot models Colette, Louise, Joan, and Corinne. The sandal heel 105 Ally, Anne and Kate, and finally the sandal models Maya and Charlotte with chunky heel 30. The flats models are present in a wide range of proposals. From the geometric art-deco inspired fabric, Origami, the classic striped Nobilis, and the pompous combination of trimmings and fabric or straw uppers, the designer’s aesthetic continues to steal from the world of furnishing details and inspirations, creating a joyful continuity with the previous collections. Last but not least, the mule Claire, the Cindy bootie, the 105 heel sabot Antoinette and the Rebecca slipper lead us into the princely heart of 18th century France thanks to the Jardin du Luxembourg country motifs of Toile de Jouy fabrics signed by the famous French high decoration artist Manuel Canovas.
