ANDREA MONDIN was born in Valdobbiadene (Treviso, Italy) and attended High Art School in Treviso. Following graduation he completed a European Fashion Course in Pordenone, which granted him an internship in the style department of Roberto Cavalli in Florence. He took part in the creation of the Fall/Winter 2000/2001 and the Spring/Summer 2002 collections. After this experience he moved to Milan where he attended the Istituto Europeo di Design. When he completed the course, he was contacted by Dolce & Gabbana, where he gained experience in the shoes and accessories department, working as a designer for the D&G brand. After three years there, during which he was employed as a designer and worked very closely in the production process with different professional figures, he was contacted by Gianni Versace. He became a designer for the Versace women’s shoes collection and then accessories designer for Versus. Collaborations, first with Christopher Kane and then with Anthony Vaccarello for Versus Versace, marked very important phases in his working experience.

With the Fall Winter 2016/2017 Ida Collection, he launched his first luxury shoes collection and created his own brand: ANDREA MONDIN. For Andrea Mondin the most important thing is to create his shoes following the Italian tradition of craftsmanship and the technical process such as the cut and the drapery. These key values have given Andrea the power to enhance femininity by looking at the world of haute couture.

In 2017, he won the Accessories prize at Who’s on Next? 2017: a contest devoted to emerging talents, conceived and organised by AltaRoma in collaboration with Vogue Italia.
